GET INVOLVED WITH COMMUNITY THEATRE

Savoyards is a community theatre organisation that encourages participation in theatre both on and off the stage. We are all volunteers and we welcome performers to audition for our shows, musicians to register their talent on our Orchestra List, and technicians of all skills to share their creativity with us. If you just love theatre, why not ask about volunteering on our front of house team.

ACTORS

We hold auditions for each production and all roles are available. Never miss a Savoyards audition by signing up to our email list. You'll get notification of every audition direct to your inbox.

PRODUCTION TEAMS

We regularly call for applications from directors, musical directors, and choreographers. This includes both our mainstage shows at the Iona Performing Arts Centre and our Star Theatre projects. Sign up to our email list to get notification of these call outs.

MUSICIANS

Savoyards enjoys working with many Brisbane musicians. Each Musical Director draws their choice of orchestra members from our orchestra list, full of talented musicians that support our organisation.

TECHNICIANS

Savoyards has a significant framework of people sharing their skills in everything from costuming, sound and lighting, stage management and more. With shows performing in two theatres (IPAC and The Star Theatre), we welcome involvement from anyone wanting to contribute their time and talents.

FRONT OF HOUSE VOLUNTEERS

You don't have to be an actor or theatre creative to get involved in community theatre. Our front of house teams are full of people who support the arts by serving at our opening night functions, bar attendants, program sellers, ushers, and assisting patrons from their cars at the set down areas. We're always looking for friendly people to join our front of house team.
